    Waiheke Shuttles Limited

    Hours of Operation:

    08:00am until 6:00pm 7 days. Only pre-booked transport is available outside these hours but extra charges may be incurred.

    Booking Conditions:

    To secure a booking we require payment in full if the booking is within 14 days. For bookings more than 14 days in advance a 25% non-refundable deposit is required with the balance paid 14 days prior to the date of transport. Details on how to pay for your booked transport is provided on the confirmation invoice which is emailed to you.

    Quotation Conditions:

    Where a quotation for transport has been provided the quotation remains valid for a period of 30 days only. Confirmation of the quotation is required within this 30 day period and Waiheke Shuttles will not be bound to the transport rates in the quotation after the 30 day period.

    Coronavirus Covid-19 Terms and Conditions

    The wellbeing and safety of our passengers and drivers is our utmost priority. If you have travelled from overseas within the past 14 days and you are undertaking self isolation or if you have come in contact with a person who has Covid-19 you are not permitted to travel on our shuttle vehicles. If you are feeling unwell we suggest that you seriously reconsider your travel plans to Waiheke Island.

    Booking changes and cancellations due to travel restrictions put in place by the New Zealand Government

    Waiheke Shuttles Limited will move your booking to another date within a 12 month period at no additional cost and with no additional charges incurred as long as the new date has availability. We are also agreeable to holding the value of your booking over to another date within a 12 month period at no additional cost and with no additional charges as long as the new date has availability.

    If you select to cancel your booking completely our standard Terms and Conditions will still apply.

    Booking Cancellations:

    If transport is cancelled, and only the 25% deposit has been paid, the deposit paid is non-refundable.

    If transport is cancelled after full payment has been made and prior to 14 days before the date of transport, 75% will be refunded.

    If transport is cancelled after full payment has been made and between 14 days and 7 days prior to the date of transport, 50% will be refunded.

    If transport is cancelled after full payment has been made and between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the date of transport, 25% will be refunded.

    If transport is cancelled after full payment has been made and 48 hours or less before the date of transport, no refund will be given.

    Booking Changes:

    Waiheke Shuttles operates on a pre-paid and pre-booked basis, please check your booking times carefully when booking transport as we cannot guarantee changes will be able to be made to existing bookings within 48 hours from the date of travel. The customer will still be responsible for payment of bookings made where such changes are unable to be made. On occasion our shuttles may be delayed for a pickup due to circumstances beyond our control, for example ferries running late, on such occasions our drivers will make all attempts possible to contact your group, on the contact mobile number supplied in the booking, to advise your group of the situation, no refunds will be made in these isolated situations.

    If the number of people who have turned up for a booking is lower that the number in the booking confirmation and no notification of a reduction in numbers has been given to Waiheke Shuttles within 48 hours from the date of travel, payment will still be required for the total number of passengers in the booking confirmation as resources have already been allocated to the transfers. There is NO REFUND for passengers who fail to arrive at their designated pickup locations at the arranged time and failed to notify us.

    Seat Belts

    Our drivers are not legally responsible for ensuring safety belts are used for adults or children. The driver of a bus is not responsible for ensuring a child is appropriately restrained. It is up to the person in charge of the child to make sure they are correctly restrained.

    A child doesn't have to be seated in an approved child restraint device if no appropriate device is available, however if an appropriate child restraint device has been provided in the vehicle then a child under seven needs to be restrained in it.

    Consumption of Liquor

    Under NZTA regulations, the consumption of liquor is NOT permitted on any public transport, therefore the consumption of liquor on any Waiheke Shuttles vehicles is also not permitted and if our buses are stopped by police for any reason, the penalty for non-compliance of this regulation is a fine of $500.00.

    Intoxicated People:

    Waiheke Shuttles is under no obligation to carry intoxicated or disorderly groups or individuals and Waiheke Shuttles drivers are under strict instructions not to carry intoxicated or disorderly groups or individuals and there may be occasions where our drivers will refuse access to our vehicles by such groups or individuals. NO refunds will be given in these circumstances.

    Social / Wedding Group Security:

    Details of a valid credit card must be provided for all social group and wedding group bookings, there is a charge of $250.00 for cleaning or repairs to vehicles after a group member has been sick or has damaged a vehicle in any way. Notification to the credit card owner is always made prior to any charges being made on the card.
