Hours of Operation:
08:00am until 21:00pm 7 days. Only pre-booked transport is available outside of these hours but extra charges may be incurred.
Booking Conditions:
To secure a booking we require payment in full if the booking is within 14 days. For bookings more than 14 days in advance a 25% non-refundable deposit is required with the balance to be paid 14 days prior to the date of transport. Details on how to pay for your transport is provided on the confirmation invoice which is emailed to you.
Waiheke Shuttles Quotations:
Where a quotation for transport has been provided the quotation remains valid for a period of 30 days only. Confirmation of the quotation is required within this period and Waiheke Shuttles will not be bound to the quoted rates after this period.
Cancellation Policy:
If transport is cancelled, the deposit paid is non-refundable.
All pre-booked transport can be postponed for a period of 12 months at no extra charge and any payment made will be held and used for transport within that 12 month period. If cancellation of the booking is required and after full payment has been made the following terms apply;
A. Cancellation prior to 10 days before the date of transport, 75% will be refunded.
B. Cancellation between 10 days and 48 hours before the date of transport, 50% will be refunded.
C. Cancellation 48 hours or less before the date of transport, there is no refund.
Transport Conditions:
All Waiheke Shuttles transport is pre-booked and we cannot guarantee that changes will be able to be made to existing bookings within 48 hours from the date of travel, the customer will still be responsible for payment of bookings made where such changes are unable to be made. During busy periods we may be unable to change a booking time and we are unable to change any booking times within 1 hour of the scheduled time. Also with return pickups from venues during busy periods our drivers are unable to wait longer than 10 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. If our driver are busy they will advise your group that they are waiting for you and Waiheke Shuttles takes no responsibility for having to leave the venue without your group if your group fails to arrive. Waiheke Shuttles has no responsibility for cancellations or delays due to weather conditions or ferry timetable and capacity issues however we will take all available measures to cover pre-booked travel when groups have been delayed due to these issues. If the number of people who have turned up for a booking is lower than in the booking confirmation and no prior notification has been given with in a 48 hour period, payment for the full number in the booking is still required. There is NO REFUND for passengers who fail to arrive at their designated pickup point at the arranged time and failed to notify us.
Alcohol Consumption:
Under NZ Transport Association regulations it is illegal to allow the consumption of alcohol on our vans and buses and there are severe penalties for non-compliance. Waiheke Shuttles drivers are under instructions not to allow alcohol to be taken onto the shuttles. They are also under instructions not to carry intoxicated or disorderly groups or individuals and there may be occasions where drivers will refuse access to our vehicles by such groups or individuals. Passengers who are sick in or soil or damage our shuttles will be charged a cleaning fee of $200.00.
